What we believe.

St John’s and Emmanuel stand in the mainstream of Christian belief around the world and down the centuries. Our doctrine is rooted in Scripture, and expressed in the 39 articles of the Church of England, the creeds and the Book of Common Prayer.

In recent years, the PCC of St John’s has also passed motions adopting the Jerusalem Declaration, and CEEC Basis of Faith, including its additional declarations. In loyalty to God’s revealed word, we commit ourselves to welcoming all, and living God’s beautiful story together.
